Gamma Agent can research and design your decks

Last week, I mentioned Gamma’s 3.0 launch, a shift from “AI slides” into a full visual storytelling platform. Gamma is one of the most popular tools we teach in our Executive Boot Camp.

Two things caught my attention: the arrival of Gamma Agent, an AI design partner that can research, restyle, and critique your slides in real time, and the addition of Smart visuals that help you organize your slides with expanded layouts.

This week, we’ll put those features into action with a step-by-step tutorial: how to use Gamma Agent to build an engaging workshop deck in 5 steps.

Step 1: Generate your base slides

Start with a draft deck from your documents or simply click Create New → Generate. Use a prompt like:

“I’m hosting a 90-minute workshop for senior leaders on AI strategy in financial services. The goal is to spark discussion, share 2–3 real-world case studies, run breakout activities, and end with a clear framework + action steps.”

Gamma will generate an initial deck with agenda, case studies, breakouts, and a closing framework.

Step 2: Open Agent and enrich your slides

Once the base is ready, open the Gamma Agent from the top-right and ask it to add more depth. You can request Agent to research real case studies with data and proper citations, or restyle a table to match the theme. This transforms a generic draft into credible, evidence-backed content.

Step 3: Refine with conversation

Treat the Agent like a collaborator and keep refining until the slides are sharp and engaging. For example, you might say, “Streamline the text and highlight the key numbers,” or “Use real photos instead of stock.” Each round makes the slides clearer and more aligned with your workshop goals.

Step 4: Adjust layouts with Edit with AI

If any slide feels cluttered, use Edit with AI → Change layout at the top left of each slide. Gamma will suggest new layouts with the same content, letting you choose the design that best balances text, visuals, and data. This keeps your deck polished and easy to follow.

Step 5: Finalize and present

Before sharing, ask the Agent to proofread for grammar, consistency, and tone. Add speaker notes or breakout instructions to guide facilitation, then click Share or Present. In just a few steps, you’ll have a workshop-ready deck co-created with AI.

Your AI Team: ChatGPT Pulse, Microsoft's "Vibe Working", Gemini in Google Vids, and more.

Every week, I report on the top updates to your favorite AI tools.

This week, it's definitely the era of agents:

ChatGPT Pulse: Are you ready for ChatGPT’s daily morning brief?

Gamma just launched 3.0, reframing itself from “AI slides” into a full visual OpenAI just introduced ChatGPT Pulse, a new experience where the app proactively brings you personalized updates.

  • Proactive research. Each night, Pulse scans your chat history, feedback, and connected apps (like Calendar or Gmail) to prepare focused updates for the next day.
  • Curated for you. You can “curate” what Pulse researches, from local events to industry news, and guide it with quick feedback.
  • Smart integrations. With Google Calendar, it might draft agendas, surface restaurant picks for trips, or remind you about gifts and deadlines.
  • Designed for progress. Updates appear as visual cards you can scan quickly, expand for detail, or save as part of your chat.

With Pulse, ChatGPT shifts from a reactive tool to a proactive partner, helping you move forward even when you don’t know what to ask next.

Microsoft 365 Brings “Vibe Working” with Agent Mode

Microsoft is introducing Agent Mode and Office Agent inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, a new way of working modeled on “vibe coding.”

  • Agent Mode in Excel and Word. Copilot now runs multi-step tasks end-to-end, generating spreadsheets and documents while checking and fixing its own work. Think of it as handing tasks to an expert that “speaks Excel natively,” from financial models to loan calculators to household budgets. PowerPoint support is coming soon.
  • Office Agent in Copilot Chat. From a simple chat, Copilot can create polished Word reports and PowerPoint presentations, with Excel generation on the way. It’s a way to go from idea to finished Office artifact in one flow.
  • Human-agent collaboration. You guide Copilot with prompts, and it iterates until results are verified, moving from single answers to full workflows.

Microsoft calls this the next pattern of work: “vibe working,” steering AI agents that orchestrate your Office tasks like a trusted teammate.

Exclusive for PRO Members: Unlocking Google NotebookLM’s New Video Overviews

In last week’s Masterclass, Daan showed us how Google’s latest feature, NotebookLM’s Video Overviews, is changing the way leaders communicate complex ideas.

What once required a video team and hours of editing can now be done in minutes, with clarity, consistency, and scale.

Here are the 4 Biggest Takeaways:

  1. Video is the new default for communication.NotebookLM Video Overviews can instantly turn documents, PDFs, slide decks, or memos into narrated videos with visuals, quotes, and highlights, making information easier to absorb across teams and clients.
  2. Context shapes the outcome.Define your audience (new hires vs. executives), purpose (onboarding, persuasion, alignment), and tone (warm vs. formal) to guide the AI in producing the right video for the right moment.
  3. Enterprise-wide use cases. From onboarding to client engagement, strategy alignment, and product education, NotebookLM empowers leaders to communicate once and share everywhere. Watch the replay for examples and prompts to try yourself.
  4. Leaders still deliver the “last mile.”AI does the heavy lifting, but your review ensures each message carries the nuance, judgment, and authenticity only a human can provide.
